About the Text to PDF
Text to PDF turns plain text into a clean, simple PDF document. Paste meeting notes, a short letter, a list or a code snippet, add a title, and download a file that anyone can open on any device.
This tool is deliberately basic. It uses a standard Helvetica font, wraps long lines, and adds pages when the text runs long. It does not convert Word (.docx) files and does not keep fonts, images or tables; for formatted documents, use the Export or Print-to-PDF option in your word processor.
How to use it
- Enter a Title that will appear at the top of the first page.
- Paste or type your content in the Text box.
- Press Create PDF to download the file.
What to know
Only characters supported by the standard PDF font are guaranteed to display. Emoji and some non-Latin scripts may not render.
Blank lines are kept, so you can separate paragraphs.
The PDF library loads from a CDN the first time you create a file.
Real-world examples
Quick letter or note. Type a short letter, add a title, and save a PDF that looks the same on every device.
Saving a chat or email. Paste the text of a conversation to keep a dated record.
Code or log snippet. Turn a short log into a file you can attach to a support ticket.
Common mistakes
Expecting bold, headings or images: the output is plain Helvetica text. Pasting emoji or characters from some languages may show blanks, because the built-in PDF font only covers basic Latin characters. Very long single lines are wrapped automatically around 90 characters.
How it works
The text is split into lines, wrapped at word boundaries, and drawn onto standard pages with the pdf-lib library using the standard Helvetica font. When a page fills up, a new page is added automatically.
