About the Remove Line Breaks
Remove Line Breaks joins separate lines into a single line. It fixes text copied from PDFs, emails or chats where each line ends with an unwanted break, and it can turn a column of items into a comma-separated list.
Choose what goes between the old lines: a space, nothing at all, or a comma and a space. Blank lines and extra spaces at line ends are removed.
How to use it
- Paste the text into Input.
- Select a Replacement: Space, Nothing, or Comma and space.
- Press Convert and then Copy.
Examples
Copying a paragraph from a PDF often leaves breaks after every line; pick Space to get a flowing paragraph.
A list of names on separate lines becomes Ana, Ben, Chloe with Comma and space.
Because blank lines are dropped, paragraph breaks are not preserved.
Real-world examples
Text copied from a PDF. Each visual line ends with a break; joining with a space restores the paragraph.
Making a list. Convert a column of names to Ana, Ben, Chloe for an email or form.
Search lists. Turn lines into one comma-separated line for a tool that expects it.
Common mistakes
Joining with 'Nothing' can glue words together (endof), so use Space for normal text. All blank lines are removed, so paragraphs merge into one block; process paragraphs separately if you need to keep them. Hyphenated words broken across lines in a PDF keep their hyphen.
How it works
The text is split on line breaks (Windows, Mac and Linux styles are all recognised), each piece is trimmed, empty pieces are dropped, and the rest are joined with the separator you chose.
